Northline Black Car
Accessibility
Whether this website works for you: the standard we build to, what we have checked ourselves, the problems we already know about, and how to tell us when a page defeats you. Nothing here is a claim of perfection, and no part of booking a car depends on the site working.
[email protected] — or call (646) 222-4444. A booking can always be completed by phone.
No part of this service requires you to use the website. If a page is unusable, that is our problem to fix, and in the meantime the phone route is not a lesser one.
The website
| Item | Position |
|---|---|
| Structure | Semantic HTML — real headings in order, real tables with header cells, real lists. No content generated only by script. |
| FAQ answers | Written into the page markup, not loaded on click. A screen reader and a search engine both get the whole answer. |
| Color and contrast | Body text and interface text intended to meet the contrast minimum. Color is never the only way information is conveyed. |
| Zoom and resize | The layout is fluid and text can be enlarged without horizontal scrolling or clipping. |
| Motion | No autoplay video, no carousels, no animation that moves under the reader. |
| Keyboard | Navigation, links and disclosure elements operable by keyboard. |
Known problems
| Problem | Effect | Status |
|---|---|---|
| The booking widget is hosted on a third-party domain | Checkout leaves this site for Limo Anywhere, so the accessibility of the most important task on the site is not under our control and is not covered by this statement. | Known issue — see book |
| Wide tables scroll horizontally on small screens | Some fact tables need sideways scrolling on a phone. The content is all present and reachable. | Acknowledged |
| No independent audit has been carried out | Everything above is our own assessment, which is not the same as a tested one. | Acknowledged |
An accessibility statement that lists no problems is not a good sign. Every real site has some. Listing ours is more useful to you than a paragraph asserting that we are committed to inclusion, and it gives you something concrete to hold us to.
Vehicles and service are answered elsewhere
This statement covers the website only.
Telling us something is wrong
Send it to [email protected], or call (646) 222-4444. Useful detail: the page or the trip, what you were trying to do, what happened, and the assistive technology or browser if it is a website problem. We reply within about an hour and will say either when it will be fixed or that it will not be, rather than acknowledging it and going quiet.
Common questions
Does this statement cover the booking checkout?
No, and that is the largest gap in it. Checkout is on a third-party hosted widget at Limo Anywhere on a different domain, so its accessibility is theirs rather than ours. This is flagged as a known issue on the booking page. Until it is resolved, (646) 222-4444 is a fully equivalent route.
Do you have large print or plain-text versions of your policies?
The pages resize and reflow, so browser zoom or reader mode should give you both. If neither works for you, ask at [email protected] and we will send the text in whatever format is useful.
